These
units have a unique Hydraulic-to-Mechanical lifting mechanism, which eliminates
the need for costly Air and Hydraulic cylinders to raise and lower their Ram
weight. This mechanism is extremely simple to maintain and very inexpensive to
operate.
The
lifting mechanism is powered by a mechanical system, which is driven by one
standard Char-lynŽ Hydraulic motor. This system allows the Atlas Casing Drivers
to remain virtually trouble-free (eliminates freezing-up, etc.).
The
elimination of Air makes these Casing Drivers extremely environmentally, and
driller-friendly (no more inhaling exhaust fumes throughout your work day, and
exhausting harmful chemicals around the drill-site!). The Atlas Hydraulic Casing
Drivers have no need for an exhausting system, as compared to the Air hammers
having to exhaust the Air from themselves.
This
system operates on low Hydraulic pressure (20-25 G.P.M. @ drilling speed approx.
2000 psi), which requires very little energy to operate, making it extremely
efficient.
All
the materials which are used in the manufacture of the Atlas Hydraulic Casing
Drivers are Top-quality. Right from the Grade 8 bolts (which are the only bolts
that are used in our Casing Drivers) to the professionally manufactured internal
parts, and the highest quality castings available.
Our
patented TOP-SEAL for the Hydraulic Casing Drivers is made of a super tough,
long lasting material, which will greatly decrease the frequency of the changing
of your seals. This Top-Seal is designed specifically to wrap around your drill
rod (whether it be 4 ˝” or 3 ˝”), this Top-Seal will maintain its effectiveness
and consistency through many hours of drilling.
The
patented BOTTOM-SEAL is of a unique design and material. When it is kept in good
repair, it works in conjunction with the Top-Seal, to completely eliminate sand,
dirt, rocks, water, mud and cuttings from blowing up the inside the Casing
Hammer housing.
These two seals really seal!
The
CENTER-TUBE (which runs down the center of the complete length of the casing
driver) is top-quality precision crafted tubing. It has a ˝” wall thickness
consisting of Drawn-over-Mandrel material. The Tube itself is chromed on the
outside with Industrial Chrome, for extra-long wear. The inside diameter of the
center-tube is 6.25", which allows for a longer life of your center-tube
(less wear from objects coming up inside the casing driver being ground, with
your drill rod, etc.). Your Drill Rods can easily travel up and down the inside
of the Hydraulic Casing Driver without any obstructions or moving pieces to get
in the way. With nothing to fetch up on, your Drilling day goes as smooth as
silk.
The
RAM WEIGHT is made of a Moly–Steel Casting (which has been used in our casing
drivers for many years) which is extremely tough, long-lasting and has proven to
be the perfect consistency for driving casing.
The
DRIVE ANVIL is also made of Cast Steel, which has been used in the Drilling
Industry for many years. The inside discharge chamber is designed to allow
breathing (steady flow of cuttings) without plugging up. The Anvil’s Discharge is
male-threaded for convenience. This allows for the use of threaded Couplers
and/or quick-release couplers to connect to your discharge hose, to direct
cuttings away from the driller’s work area.
BEATS
PER MINUTE: We recommend that
you run the Atlas Hydraulic Casing Drivers at a maximum of 90 to 110 blows per
minute (R1000 - R3000). The R4000 - R6000 should be run at a
maximum of 80 blows per minute.
The
stock Drive Anvil will drive 6”, 8” and 10” Casing (R1000 –
R4000 models) 8”, 10” and 12” (R5000 & R6000 models) without the expense of extra
costly drive adapters!
VARIABLE
STROKE ABILITY: We offer a Variable-Stroke-Control Valve system with all our
Hydraulic Casing Drivers. This allows drillers to obtain more feel and
penetration control, in the situations where it is necessary!
THESE
ARE THE MOST DEPENDABLE CASING HAMMERS ON THE MARKET! AND WE BELIEVE THEY
ARE OVER-BUILT.
MARKED
INCREASE IN PRODUCTION: With the elimination of Air lines freezing-up in colder
temperatures, the elimination of down-time due to repairs and shipping delays,
and the value / production of our Hydraulic Casing Drivers, your bottom line
will show greater profits at the end of the day!
ABSOLUTELY
NO AIR NEEDED FOR OPERATION: Keep in mind that when Air Hammers are run, they
create a large Air production cost to go with them. With Atlas Hydraulic Casing
Drivers, you eliminate the Air cost. You also free up your air for where you
need it at all times … down the hole!
Atlas
offers Custom-designed Mast mounts (guides) for any style of Top-Head Drive
Rotary rig. They are made of Mild-steel with Nylon pads bolted down into them.
The nylon is very durable, and has a very long life.
One
side of the Mast mounts are welded to the Hydraulic Casing Driver, while the
other side is usually temporarily bolted, to allow the Hydraulic Casing Driver
to be easily taken out of the mast when needed. Both mounts can be permanently
welded if so desired as well.
The
mast mounts allow the casing driver to run up and down the mast, with greater
safety and reliability.
Atlas
also manufactures the highest quality Hydraulic Lifting Cylinders, Swing Jibs
and Latch Mechanisms (for attaching the casing driver to the top-head-drive)
which are available. |
